A. B ö h m e n . 1.) Police Presidium Prague : Rudolf C h a r v a t (born 1877), who remained in his post in March 1939, is Czech. He reached the highest age and was to retire on 1 November 1939. The Ministry of the Interior has proposed as successor the current Deputy Presidential Head of Government Dr. Jaromír H u b e r and as its successor Dr. Bohumil § i m e k. The Secretary of State in a personal letter dated 16.10.1939 based on the declaration of the SD. The Minister of the Interior has no longer expressed himself since then. Police President Charvat still provides the service as police president. There is no interest in causing anyone from the German side. Charvat has always proved himself German-friendly and worked very much in our sense. All the German services are commending themselves for having retired and for having a German police officer appointed to the Prasidut Aryan police district, if the situation should become more serious or if there is a need for a German occupation of the police administrators in general after this war. 2.) Police Directorate Pilsen : Dr. Josef M a i n e r is a Czech and was appointed in September 1939 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Police Director, after the State Secretary agreed to a request in a personal letter to the Prime Minister.
