3] Copy. Presidium of the Police Directorate Brno, September 194l in Brno Number: 2602/Pres. To Mr O b e r l a n d r a t in Brno Subject: Recruitment of German forces at the Police Department in Brno. Supplement: 1. Since April 1939 to the present day, '88 German applicants have sought admission to the Protectorate Police at the local Police Directorate. The applications were submitted after the official survey of the state authority in Brno with the request to treat them more quickly, as the local authority suffers from a lack of German forces. Since in recent months numerous police gagists were also retired, the lack of these forces has increased. On the request of 2.VI.l94l, a detailed overview was drawn up and submitted to the local office on 2.VI.194l. According to the attached overview, 37 requests were still made to the regional authority in Brno, or to the Ministry of the Interior in Prague, whose favorable execution the local authority had already been successful several times. This figure does not include the pensi- ned guards who have sought reinstatement. For these reasons above, I politely request that the higher protectorate authorities seek to intervene in the accelerated and favorable execution of the above requests.
