19 - 5 - project promoters are to be estimated under the given conditions as high as the average result can be called a very good one. In addition to experienced architects from the old kingdom, local German architects have nevertheless been able to claim an honorable place. Far from the rest of the works, the project of the Professor of the German Technical University in Prague, Brandi, which was therefore awarded the first prize, as well as the other prizes were distributed unanimously. In a small exhibition organized at Rosengasse 5, the works of the public were made accessible. In connection with the plans for the construction of Prague, I looked, in the company of the urban experts, at the Iser area, which is still in the very first line for the supply of good drinking water to Prague. I was able to convince myself that the existing drinking water supply lines have already created all the conditions for speeding up this area from Prague. I would like to take this opportunity to stress that the question of drinking water is vital for Prague and that everything must therefore be avoided, that the Iser project should come to an end, which is based above all on the unfounded fear that the water from Iser could be claimed from another side. I hope that President Niemeyer will receive a binding commitment in our interest these days, and that the water law procedure with the town of Jungbunzlau will be brought to an end immediately.
