St.f. 68 Prague, 14 January 1941. Epr. 44/41 Dear President ! I have received your letter from ll. Jenuar 194l. However, I cannot help but express my astonishment at its version. I have pointed out to you that the measures taken to dismantle the staff of the public servants of the Frotektoratsverwaltung have been caused by the fact that the staffing budget of the Protectorate has been exceptionally superseded. To eliminate this excess, as you have finally admitted to me in our discussion, is inevitably necessary for reasons of state and civil policy. As I have also told you, the dismantling measure I have taken is a general measure which by no means only affects the legionaries, and it will not affect all legionnaires either. For me, the attitude that has been shown over the years is decisive for the retirement of public servants over 45 years of age. It is particularly fitting to note the rlements, which are dedicated to His Excellency Mr President Há c h a Prague Castle.
