Copy. The chairman of the government./ Z. 74 S-41 MR. Prague, 9 January 1941. Mr. President ! In the newspaper "Der Neue Tag" (The New Day) of today, an article was published in the leading place under the title "Die Legionärsclique ist untragbar" in which - in some cases literally - statements from an article of the Secretary of State K.H.Frank, published in January in the magazine "Böhmen und Mähren", were taken over. Mr. Frank, Secretary of State of the Czechoslovak Republic, takes a very harsh view of all the members of the former Czecho-Slovak legions, accuses them that they are allegedly hostile to the present state law, and suggests that they should be excluded from public life and separated from the creation of the life of the czech people. In this context, however, I fear that my effectiveness as chairman of the Czech and Moravian Protectorate Government will be extremely difficult, $M.A-3/40.
