F a n k Prag Betr.: Czech Rumours about personnel changes at the Imperial Protector. Introduction: Hies.Schreiben v.24.1.1941. As the last echo of the Legionnaire discussions, rumors were spread in Prague last week, mainly in higher society circles and in the NG headquarters, that in the office of the Reich's protector there were to be expected some kind of personnel changes in the near future. The spreaders of the rumors referred to allegedly German quellers. Among other things, it was claimed that the Secretary of State K.H.Frank had to expect his dismissal and was to be replaced by the former delegate of the Sudeten German Party, Ernst Kundt. The position of the Secretary of State had been greatly weakened, as he had been forced to withdraw from Berlin on the legionary question and had to comply with a strict order, the consequence of which was that the President and the Czech Government had remained.
