5-2 Hönich received at exhibitions in the Sudeten area in the local press, wouldn't mean too much if they hadn't recovered everywhere in the kingdom in the same way. The Rome Prize was awarded to Otto Bertel, a Hönik student, who was awarded the 5ooo Mark Prize by Mr. Gauleiter Henlein also to a Hönich student. The Führer bought the picture v. J. Vietze, graphic works by Prokop and Astler, also Hönich-Schüler. The Kunstvereine Prag , Brünn and Berlin acquired works by Hönik's students as awards for their members. A long series of private contracts, which students of this school received for execution, could be proved. Head of Group l, Ministerial Councillor Freiherr von Gregory, as well as head of Group 14, Ministerial Boardlor Dr. Hansel visited the German Art Academy. Prof. Hönich agreed that an exhibition of the Academy in Prague should take place in the late autumn of this year. The works of the two teachers, as far as these works are available to them, as well as the works of students from the last years and of the graphic school of Prof. Hönich, from previous years, would be exhibited. Group 1 has agreed to bear the costs of the exhibition. It would be more than advisable to finally show in an overview who and how many of the young generation of artists owes their education to Prof. Hönich. Sudeten-German journalism takes either little or no note of these points.
