STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 1992, sig. 109-6/84
English Translation
87 or other clergymen personally participated in this struggle of the People's Germans for the last 2o years and possibly exposed themselves. The observations of recent times, however, have shown that the people's attitude of the German Catholic clergy in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia is beginning to diminish and are already spreading ideological contradictions. It is hardly to be expected that the young theologians who are trained will be trained too much in the consciousness of their national mission, especially because the most prominent teacher at the theological faculty, Prof. Dr. Kin d e r m a n n , does not guarantee this because of his attitude towards the national socialist worldview. It was also noted that the activity developed by the German clergy, in particular by Prelate G r n e r , by Father Mit n a c h t and, above all, by Prof. Dr. Kindermann, in order to develop German Catholic pastoral care, is gradually taking on forms which, from a philosophical point of view, can no longer be approved. The possession of this monastery would only give the Catholic Church and the Catholic Action an even greater boost in its activity. German Catholic pastoral care in the Protectorate has already received the greatest amount of help from the German side in the last weeks and months. Moreover, Archbishop K a š p a r has also been interested in the monastery in question and sent the administrator of the Archbishop's consistory, Šimek, to the Prague Magistrate at the beginning of July for the purchase of these buildings for the Jesuits in Prague XIX (Bubentsch), Winterstr. 4, for the assignment of the building to the German police.
