In the relevant matter, the state conservator Dr. Juraschek, Linz, spoke today and made himself known according to the reasons which opposed the return of the Hohenfurther altarpieces. Dr. Juraschek, as indicated in the telex of 12.1.194o. I have meant Juraschek that the view will be expressed that, firstly, it is more expedient to have the images restored at the expense of the protectorate government by the staff now working on them, and secondly, it should be indicated in the German language's interest to leave the images in Prague and not to return them to Hohenfurth. Juraschek then asked for permission to speak with Group XIV in the office of Imperial Protector, which had already taken action in the matter, about the opinion I had communicated to him. There were no doubts about this. I then referred JuraschEK to Ministerial Councillor Hansel. 2. (iii) G.R., with the same annexes, sent to the Secretary of State for information.
