See Table 15 Sugar balance Sudeten-Protektorat land harvest ................ 1000 t 3 050 480 Production of raw 1000 t 490 77 sugar... See Table 16 In the future, the sugar balance is largely determined by the maintenance of production and the possibility of sugar exports. If, as in itself, the production of rapeseed in the Protectorate should be extended, this will, in the opinion of Czech circles, be carried out mainly at the expense of the area under sugar beet. A clear overview of the total quantity of cereals and potatoes available is given if the potatoes are converted to cereal values, i.e. divided by four. Of the entire crop of cereals, about half are fed in the protectorate and about one third is used for human consumption (including processing in breweries, etc.). The rest is used as seeds.
