Position of the post office in the authority of the Reichsprotektor In the Führer's Decree of 1 March 1939, Article 8 provides for direct supervision of the empire, which the Reich's protector exercises through his group Post, in the case of postal and telecommunications services, beyond the political supervision provided for in Article 5. This supervision is subject to the whole of the postal and remote reporting system of the Protectorate Administration with its approximately 36 000 staff. If this right is exercised by the Reich Protector, then the Minister of Industry - i.e. the Reich Post Minister - will undoubtedly have the greatest influence on development and administration. In this sense, the rapid letter from the Reich Minister of the Interior to the Reich Post Minister dated 3 July 1939 expressly states that the Reich Protector is bound by the regulations and general technical regulations of the specialized ministers and has to seek the agreement of the specialist minister in its own measures of an important nature. These general instructions and orders, which are to apply both to the authorities of the Old Reich and to the German authorities in the Protectorate, can even be issued regularly by the Minister of the Roof without the participation of the Reich Protector. In the case where special concerns of the Reich's protector are concerned, it is only necessary to consult with him again.
