96 Prague, March 7, 1941. Major Hartel communicates by telephone the following: In the rivers of Bohemia the floods continue, but in all rivers there is a gradual but clear sinking of the water. The rivers in the western parts of Moravia, namely the Schwarzawa and Zwittawa, are strongly swollen. No damage was done for the time being. The Schwar- zawa has risen by y2 m. According to the report, the water of the confluence of the Schwarzawa and Zwittawa at Seelowitz y2 m was below the highest water so far. In the upper course of the March river the water in the sinking Wyaes is understood, in its middle and lower course it rises.
