3a against its Czech predecessor in its financial possibilities would be too limited. To this day, however, all my steps to achieve a favourable decision on this issue have remained unsuccessful. The President of the department, Dr. Müller, had to explain to me, after repeated auditions on my part, that his ways and means of achieving a favourable regulation were now exhausted. The President of the Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Reischauer, raised more serious concerns and stated that, for the time being, it would be necessary to regulate the reference actions of the representatives of the ministers and similar bodies, although a decision of the Minister of Finance has already been reached by mutual agreement with the Reichspostminister and the Minister for the Interior. Since a transfer of the Germans who are members of the protectorate administration to the Reichsdienst is also imminent, I am also running the risk of falling completely away from the head of the Brno Directorate, Dr. Herzog, on this occasion. My position within the postal administration is therefore not only untenable from the organizational point of view in the long term, but also incompatible with the dignity of a German head of a local authority vis-à-vis its Czech followers. Dear Secretary of State, I ask you to give your consent that this unexplained situation, which also greatly enhances my work, will finally be put to an end. I always remain in constant gratitude with 56165 Heil Hitler!
