The "Support Association of Officers of the former Czechoslovak Army" is much more important to its organization and its objective than the above-mentioned association. During the time of the Republic, the "association of Czechoslovak officers", at that time mainly occupied reserve officers, the new association was assigned the task of covering all the former Czechoslovsky army's former officers, all the officers in Russia and officers' aspirants and non-absolved military academics. The association's promotions provided a strong influx of members, so that the association, with 2200o members and 150 local groups, provides almost complete evidence of all former officers. The influx to the association was also particularly active after the establishment of the protectorate because the association of the transfer of the former officers took up civilian occupations, set up its own retraining courses and established a job-sharing system. The association has three areas of work as its official club: the retraining of former officers for civil professions, the establishment of recreational homes and the award of widows' and orphans' support. In the past several funds, including a so-called Baufond, the so- called "Mayer Support Fund for Wiven and Waisen", a reserve fund and others, were provided by the association.
