D - 2 - In the northern section of the eastern front, the use of parachute partisans has recently been increasingly observed. Partisans are set up in small groups behind the German front and are regularly equipped with radios with which they are supposed to come in contact with their headquarters in Leningrad. In many cases, the Security Police and SD Operations Commands were able to explore and destroy such par- tisan groups. With bogged down radio messages, a connection was established with the Leningrad headquarters. In order to achieve an influence on the mood, it was stated in the radio sayings that the partisans voluntarily gave up their struggle and faced the Germans, because they saw both the futility of the struggle and condemned the Bolshevik system after they had known German conditions. In the overall picture, which emerges from the individual findings, it was established that 1. the occurrence of guerrillas, apart from parachute partisans in small groups, takes place almost consistently in larger units, 2. the operations of the guerrillas are often carried out in close cooperation with the red troops,
