6a, are not yet known, but it can be seen from the figures given that the greater number of BMB staff will still be in the training courses in 1942/43. For the time being, I do not think that an examination of these staff members would be appropriate, as about 7% of the staff would not pass the examination if a strict standard were to be applied. However, such poor test results would undoubtedly have adverse repercussions on the performance of the service. However, since the BMB - staff have important tasks to perform on a large scale during the war, such discharges must be avoided. It should also be borne in mind that the staff in the field service carry out 60 hours and more weekly. As a result of the irregular service - in particular the frequent night service - many staff members are unable to attend the classes regularly. On the other hand, in the interests of operational safety, operational speed, etc., I must attach great importance to the fact that the railway staff acquire thorough knowledge in the German language. This also includes the fact that the staff acquire the expression of the regulations of the service which appeared in 1942 and 1943, which are already largely aligned with the provisions of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. It is therefore envisaged that some 8 Ooo staff who have already attended a conversational course in the years d 1940/41 and 1941/42 will be examined first. ROuset* For the reasons set out above and in view of the fact that for the large number of staff to be examined, I do not have sufficient numbers of German railway staff who can be employed as examiners, I can only assess during the next year when the examination of the 60 O00 BMB staff will be completed. -to CBSCEADONOLTHLSTU e.g.: Danco 56896 retanets -atdoirttenU ad Certified doua.e tpeh Htht nEmployees Ink 15 383 furm Saakintr u th bott ina Katnis nafav aga 17.4 Et JAA 330 Aanski W Tryt beimmbrponaas Pefonallaffoung Nmim Eingogangon ba e Abtly.
