32 - 4. Then I asked to leave the note to my faithful hands so that at least its meaningful evaluation could be ensured. v. Popelka asked to obtain Hácha's consent to the temporary delivery of the note, and asked on his behalf whether a copy of the omission of the enemy radio could not be left over to the letter from Benesch. On May 12, 1942, v. Popelca handed me the note to the office (Annex 8), which I had translated by the Councillor of Government Zankl (Annexes 9 and 10). Popelka further explained that Hácha was inverse with the publication of the letter as a potoscopy including the postscript, but please refrain from commenting on the post-seriptum. Jch replied that this was not intended in the context of the Orbis brochure. v. Popelka came to the following questions on behalf of Hácha: First, release of former Chief of Staff Krejči from protective detention and second, death in Auschwitz concentration camp. The first case was Hácha's intention to find out if Krejčí, who had been in protective custody since 14.10.1941 and was in the small plague of Theresienstadt, could be expected to be released. Jm second Palle led v. Popelka stated that the high number of deaths in the Auschwitz concentration camp caused the request that the Czech prisoners be assigned to stay in a healthier climate after the epidemics had subsided. He also asked (v. Popelca) for the other camps with Czech jesats, as far as epidemics broke out in them. Popelka pointed out that every massaging of people - especially in the wartime - entails the danger of contagious diseases. The German medical service in the camps is good and thorough. It is all done to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Deaths could not be avoided in the individually different susceptibility of the prisoners. To my knowledge, a transfer of prisoners to other camps would not be possible at the moment.
