Speech of the president of the Czecho-Slovak _Repulblik Dr. Eduard B e nae s e h on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the state on 28 October: "Ture fellow citizens of Czechoslovakia! Soon the fourth anniversary of that unfortunate agreement of Munich is approaching. For us this day is a day of mourning. But we are in the heart of all events with faith and courage. Even then, I knew that a new war in the East would soon come. And also with regard to the Eastern Campaign, I predicted you great successes of Germany. You continue to think, as the Germans have claimed after the fall of France, that now England will fall, and that Roosevelt will help. And I already at that time emphasized the inexhaustible reserves of Great Britain and America in the air, on water and on land. I saw - 2 - IV.P.-13. 1.
