STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 1675, sig. 109-4/1430
English Translation
This body cannot be bureaucratically administered, but must be run politically under ij-mäsaiger Ausrichtung and is best served as a special lecture with me personally. As far as the individual scientific disciplines are concerned, I believe that first of all it is necessary to examine which academic professions appear to be viable for the future for Czechs. The legal study of Czechs must be completely rejected as an appointment of administrative and political leadership positions in this area. The study of economics and trade sciences can be described as bearable in individual cases; here the broad German economic area will magnetically extend the Czech future beyond the borders of Bohemia and Moravia in a selection process of the best, especially in the case of skilled German personnel management. Gleiohes applies to the technical-academic and mining Leufbahn, for which the Czech fully qualified staff is able to provide, and the protégé area will also be too narrow for the truly capable Czech forces and will result in a withdrawal of the best. The study of medicine for Czechs seems essentially politically harmless and also expedient for health policy reasons. There are no objections to studying the natural sciences as well as to language philology.
