y BdS. III - 7353/41 Prague, September 1, 1941. Eilt sebr. B K.H. 4-Obersturmbannführer Drl G i e s m.d.B. to submit to group leaders. Betr: Studies of Czech students. For various reasons, the intention was to allow for a further 40 Czech students to study at German universities in the coming semesters. For political reasons, the attempt would be desirable because, at this time, only a few students would have reported. Since this time, in contrast to the last action, the experiment should be limited to high school graduates, one could also point out later that even high school students do not have a degree certificate and therefore the Czech universities are also superfluous. Furthermore, the considerable lack of technicians and physicians in Germany was decisive in the assessment of the question of admission. In view of the present position of the Reich Ministry of Education and the Reich ministry of the Jnnern, these two ministries should be informed in due time of the planned action. On the other hand, only 8 weeks are left until the beginning of the semester, so that the selection work would have to be carried out with the greatest acceleration. Since the letters already prepared at the beginning of July have not yet gone out to the two ministries, but on 14 September 1994l at the latest the corresponding information should appear in the press, I ask for a decision whether the action is to be carried out in the next semester or not.
