44 Note Prague, 26 April 1939 e The NsV continued the support of the German and Czech population of the Protectorate, which was originally terminated with 30 April 1939, but would have to complete its work with 25 April 1939 as further funds are not available for these purposes. The question of whether the work of the NSv should be continued on this date in its present scope has already been decided by the Reichsprotector that a continuation is absolutely necessary for political reasons. This continuation is intended for the period until a uniform Czech organization, which is to work under the supervision of the NsV, is created. This will be the case in August or September of this year. The necessary effort up to this time is estimated at 10,000.000 RM. As a result of the above-mentioned decision of the Reich Protector, only the question of the procurement of the necessary funds has to be examined. Here, it was originally envisaged to use the Jewish assets at the instigation of the secret state police in the fiduciary administration of banks, which present a value of about 80,000.000 K. Quite apart from the difficulty of making at least a small part of these assets available at the moment (- these are mainly real estates, securities, etc., so that for the purpose of raising money mainly a bank imputation is in question,-) these funds could be made available only subject to the replacement, as the question whether and to what extent a decay in favour of the empire or the autonomous protectorate government will take place is legally unexplained.
