Unfortunately, I have to draw your personal attention to the matter of Under-State Secretary Dr.v.Burgsdorff. You know that I was in charge of the release of Dr. v. Burgsdorff at that time. At the same time, I pointed out that it was expedient to employ from Burgsdorff to the passage of General Reinefarth outside the authority of the Reich Protector. They did not share this view. In fact, the difficulties, as I feared, have occurred, and there has been the unfortunate state that for a use of v.Burgsdorff in the authority after its conversion by -Obergruppenführer Heydrich and, as long as Reinefarth acts as general inspector of the administration, there is no place. v. Burgsdorff has seen this himself.
