STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 765, sig. 109-4/516

Prague, August 18, 1939. First note. On my behalf, on the basis of their membership in the Anti-Jewish World League in Nuremberg, a General Josef Zajicek and a Prof. Karl Koudelka, both Prague, presented and made the following proposal in the course of the reparation negotiations pending by the Association of the Czechoslovak War Victims - the matter has recently been made by the Office of the Imperial Protector as the subject of a correspondence with the Protectorate Government -: In agreement with the Anti-Jewish World League, the Protectorates Government should be sent a request - it was presented to me for inspection - through the office of the Lord's Imperial Protector, according to which General Zajicek immediately receives an advance of 800 O00.- RM from the amount of reparations to be evicted by the protectorate government. First of all, it was stated that the amount was needed for political purposes - namely for the fight against the Freemasons and Jews in the Protectorate area - but at the same time it was stressed that the security company headed by General Zajicek - seat: Prague - urgently needed financial support for lack of working capital. The security company has always employed people who were opposed to the Benesh state. The amount can be gained in the way and its requirement also to the protectorate government justifies that in a number of cases the procedure used to capitalise their damage was flawed and therefore revisible by the war victims. If the procedure were reviewed and corrected, a substantial amount would be released. Nor would the protectorate government be harmed, since the release of capital could be used for the amount to be paid to General Zajicek, thus nothing would be changed in the final sum. I rejected the proposal and meant that the office of Mr Reichsprotektor could not be misused for financial advantages because of any täu- recherches. Moreover, it is unacceptable for fundamental considerations that the Office of the Lord Reich Protector should be used in such an emphasized form for the concerns of a prominent personality, while smaller existences were disregarded in this advance. If General Zajicek was actually in an emergency situation, it would only be possible to have a reasonable amount below the amount of the advance to be paid by the protectorate government.
