36a. Of the Germans, it was first and foremost referred to as a final clear warning to the Czechs, and it was stressed on several occasions that yesterday's speech, unlike the previous ones, had a certain personal note. The passus was particularly in favour of the question of the reopening of Czech universities. According to these individual voices from the Czech population, the speech of the Secretary of State is regarded as positive for the Czechs in comparison to his earlier speech. For the first time he emphasized the Czech workers and Bzuern and thus drew a clear separation between the anti-rich and the building-up elements of the Czech people. The praiseworthy recognition for the positive part of the Czech intelligence was also greatly appreciated. The mention that the Czech universities are not reopened, according to individual reports, did not find a special response, since this fact had been expected. JSE 1.
