English Translation

Before I left for Hamburg-Langenhorn, a press note had appeared at my request indicating that I was participating in a four-week exercise. This note was necessary to rule out any rumors. Out of consideration for the Reich Protector and for the Under-Secretary of State, in the press note indicating the resumption of the service, the command of the leader cannot be mentioned. It is possible that interested parties can now draw conclusions about my suitability for the service of arms and the like and spread corresponding negative smells. My position on the Wehrmacht has not been made easier by the sudden return to Prague. Unfortunately, the press repeatedly said that I was doing the exercise at the Wehrenmacht, which is particularly distressing to me, is the feeling that the Führer is angry. The motive from which I signed up for the arms service was that of the man who wants to do his duty and guilt with the gun in his hand. I would be grateful to you, Reichsführer, if you would take the case in a quiet hour and, on a suitable occasion, recite to defv Führer that no oblivion had me reported for the service of weapons, but that it was finally the desire to serve him with the weapon before the enemy, like any other German. Finally, I would like to inform you that I am waiting for the return of the Reich Protector to vote with him on the version of the press note indicating the resumption of the service. I will be able to present you with a copy of the Press Note.
