I0V -2- finally the resettlement of the disloyal Czech population groups. Although the proposed measures are partly in line with the German interests, they are primarily determined by the question of how the Czechs can be helped both politically and economically in the given political conditions. The elimination of the Jews, "white Jews", Freemasons and the Czech bureaucracy, as well as the leaders of the government, if this were to happen with one blow, would lead mainly to Czechs occupying the vacant posts. In the future, these Czechs would not be able to raise human concerns as easily as is possible with the current economic factors, and in this way national-minded Czechs could be promoted into leading economic positions, from which they could later exert their political influence. One could probably eliminate a pest of the German people in this way, but would strengthen and raise a much more dangerous opponent. Overall, it can be said to the memorandum that the proposals made by the authors suggest their well-meaning attitude towards Germanism. In view of the German objective in this area, however, the individual proposals may, if at all, appear to be suitable only with many reservations. The tendency and at the same time the questionability of the memorandum is clearly expressed in the final words and the personal objectives of the authors which are visible here.
