It is clear from the statements made by the Security Police Commander and the SD that this false opposition on the German side is considered to be extremely inconvenient. In particular, the material found at Burda and the statements made by Rys and Burda during the interrogation resulted from the following points, which could be considered to be of concern to Germany and which could burden Vlajka: a) Information on relevant positions in Berlin (Reichsminister Dr. Goebbels) about political processes in Bohemia and Moravia using politically different German intermediates with indisputable and tendent presentation, b) shift of the activity of the Vlajka into the Reich and deliberate involvement in questions of the follow-up A care of Czech workers in the Reich, c) intelligence activity in Bohemia, and Moravia within the framework of an organized intelligence service of the 09664 Vlayka in the recording of trust men. It should not be overlooked that the Vlajka leadership had certainly expected and prepared itself accordingly with regard to the development of recent times in order to prevent a possible burden. This has shown both the prominently well kept Pritat desk of the Rys as well as the cautious behaviour of Bur da and Rys during their interrogation. Details can be explained in the following: 1 Josef Rys-Roszevač, born 20.10.1901, studied medicine at the Czech University in Prague, but without completing his studies. He has been a leader in the Vlajka since about 1937 and is mainly responsible for the ideological direction. He was clear about the Bedenkw , which existed on the German side to the Vlajka, as he himself states, from his preliminary talks at the BdS in Prague. He did not have any incriminating material on the occasion of the arrest.
