(c) Staff committees. The political committee dealt with internal and external policy issues, the organisation of the state administration, etc. In the Economic Committee all economic affairs and in the Staff Committee all questions and matters of the State employees. In addition, the President, as the Chief Commander of the Army İitzungen, sometimes held consultations with representatives of the General Staff and the Ministry of National Defence. All matters which were negotiated and approved in the individual Commissions then came to the agenda of the Council of Ministers.
