General situation and mood: Unchanged. II. Individual operations: 1.) Czech winter collection In the district of Königgrätz, the Czech collection is proceeding well, except for a few exceptions.According to a preliminary estimate, the previous collection result is over 4oooo pieces, including individual items with a value of up to 8000 K. In the district of Senftenberg (OLB Königgrätz) a negative attitude was observed among the Czech population against the collective action. Thus in Petschin a woman threw out a collector and said that the Germans should not wage war if they had nothing to wear. Baron Parish, known in Senftenburg, said that he would donate nothing to the wool collection. In Gabel a.d.A., the wholesaler A. Kalou said to the collectors that he had nothing and would not give anything. The Šchuh dealer Augustin Černoheus, who lived in the same place and was known as a German enemy, put the collectors at the door. There were also Czechs who tried to prevent donated persons from making a donation. In Wildenschwert (oLB Pardubitz) the slogan was spread, rather to burn everything than to give it to the German Wehrmacht. In the OLB Olmütz it was often established at the Czech collection that the donation joy of the peasants was low var, whereas the workers numerously donated, contrary to expectations, often even new things, which were bought on points. + In the municipality of Nenakonitz (OLB Olmütz) the Czech farmer Konečny, who is among others deputy chairman of the local NG, was appointed to the winter collection. As an introduction he needed the following words during the collection: "We come to collect for the poor German army". In addition, he should have asked to hand in little and inferior things. - 2 -
