52 Copy Secret Reichsssache I Der Führer 1) In the future, the interests of the Empire in Hungary will be exercised by an agent of the Great German Reich in Hungary, who at the same time holds the title G e s a n d t e r. 2) The Reich's authorised representative is responsible for the entire political development in Hungary and keeps his instructions by the Reich Minister of the Present. In particular, it has the task to initiate in Hungary the formation of a new national government, which is determined to fulfil its alliance obligations from the three-power pact loyally and until the final victory. The authorized representative of the Reich has to advise this government decisively and to represent it against all interests of the Empire. 3) The Reich's authorised representative has to be careful that the entire administration of the country, even as long as there are German troops, is carried out on all offers under its leadership by the new national government and is led with the aim of exploiting all the resources of the land, in particular the economic possibilities, to the maximum for the purposes of joint warfare. 4) Civilian German bodies of any kind to be active in Hungary are to be established only in agreement with the Reich's authorised representative, shall be subordinated to him and shall carry out their activities in accordance with his instructions.
