Fernruf 479-51-4 Lloa brr EBW dO On the occasion of the visit of the head of the Reichsorganisation I Dr.Ley in Prague and his presentations before the Poles, a series of individual meetings took place. Some of these were carried out in the presence of the head of the Reichsorganisation and the Gauleiter, which gave them special importance for me as a sovereign in aeo Prague. I would like to present some thoughts to you, State Secretary. The role and importance of the party in the Altreich, Ostmark and Sudetengau are still different from the tasks and possibilities of the NSDAP in the Protectorate. The superior position of the Reichsprotector and his office has given rise to a different position of party than was previously customary in Great Germany. I have tried to compensate for any disadvantages that might arise from this diminished importance of the party for it by trying to keep close contact with you, Secretary of State. However, with the growth of work, both in the state and in the party, this constant contact becomes more difficult again. Of course, I still want to strive to keep them to DE P and expand them. pORM* However, it seems to me necessary that a clear division of tasks is carried out as soon as possible in the supervision of the Reich's citizens in the Protectorate. Both the head of the Reichsorganisation and 530 of the Gauleiter made me very aware of the fact that the NSDAP also bears full responsibility for the German people in the Protectorate. Supporting measures of the state are also welcome helpers and I do not need to assure you, Secretary of State, that I appreciate your initiative intervention in many cases. It is therefore all the easier for me to bear the LEA responsibility for the German people in my area of sovereignty and jurisdiction, if I know that the Reichsprotektor, with its office wherever possible, promotes German interests before the common interests of the entire population. Before the question of the representation of the NSDAP for the whole protectorate to the Lord Reichsprotector has been clarified, it seems to me possible and useful to clarify some things.
