Prague, 20 June 1942. 11 nr ba From official sources, we learn the following about the near circumstances that led to the capture of the murderers Reinhard H e y d r i h s: The attack on Obergruppenführer Heydrich was carried out by two men, one of whom threw a bomb and the other tried to fire from an English machine gun, as was officially announced at the time. The extensive state police investigations led to the impeccable conclusion that the perpetrators were the following: 1.) Jan K u b i š, born on 24.6.1913 in Unter-Wilimowitz, Bez. Trebitsch, most recently the leader of the former Czecho-Slovak Jnf.Reg. Hr 34, as a bomb launcher. om8412 dag Sele 2.) Josef.G a b č i k, born in Poluvsil-Zilina, joined officer-Steli representatives in the eh m, Czecho-Slovak Kraftfahrregiment No. 14 as a machine pistol shooter. Both emigrated to England on various routes after the establishment of the Protectorate, where they were classified in the so-called Czecho–Alovak Legion and trained out-ade-Pellsohirm-agen. After they had been trained in sabotage and terrorist acts, they were provided with the murder tools and were deposed by a British long-range bomber on the night of 28th to 29th December 1941 near Pilsen.
