73 - 4 - will succeed! Reports of September 6, 1940. London - Czechoslovak broadcast (Slovak). A speech by the Central Envoy in Washington, Hurban, is reproduced on gramophone records: Speaker at the beginning describes the great sympathies that exist in the USA for the CSR. The New York Times very often brings news from the CSR and the active intervention of the csl. Air Force in London was highlighted by the newspaper. It is the best point of the determination of the Czechs and Slovaks to regain freedom alongside England. ---- Afterwards Hurban describes in a well-known way the German barbarism in the CSR. In the U.S., all this is well known and just as after the overthrow, the US's sympathies are entirely on the side of CSR and everything is working towards a re-establishment of the Republic. Although the tragedies of the first year of war in America have made the sufferings of the csl. people somewhat forgotten, they will not be forgotten when the day of reckoning comes. It is known in the USA that the CSR not only has the right to be a free state, but also has the ability to determine the fate of the csl. people themselves. - Finally, Hurban notes that the so-called Slovak government under Tuka is a Hitler government and that it is a farce. In the first year of the war, all Slovaks had already opened their eyes to the so-called freedom, to those who still believe in the freedom of Slovakia, they will open their eyes in the second year. On the occasion of the World Exposition in New York, large demonstrations of the Czechs and Slovaks took place in the Americas in August. So once over 6 ooo Czechs and Slovaks marched in the streets, protesting against Hitler. The American population applauded and joined. In the USA they have not forgotten the CSR!
