762 - 3 - The member of the Czechoslovak Council of State S t ra n s k y speaks then : How often and how much has already been spoken and written about Masaryk. On various occasions, as at the celebrations of 28 October, on the occasion of his birthday pder wherever else. Always his person formed the center of attention. Masaryks was a constant subject of public opinion. He was always our pioneer and our leader. To the English and French and many more, we have told so much about him, but not everything yet. We could still report, because we always find new stories from his life. I don't need much to talk about him to you, it's enough if I pronounce his name. The author of the "Talks with Masaryk" has also published a chapter which he did not give the eloquent title: "Virturing with Masariark". You didn't even need to talk to him, his presence was so distressed that you often did not dare. If today his all writings are confiscated in the homeland, even if you are not allowed to speak loudly of him, all the more so you think of him as your great leader. Anyone who visited the cemetery in Lana after Masaryk's death knows that one only spits over his grave with whispers. He lives in silence in us, but therefore no less intensely. But the silence that reigns in the cemetery in Lana is something special, that can be proved by anyone who has already been there. In 9 years, how much will happen if we knew the beginning of the following one at least. One thing is certain, that then his LoOster birthday in the homeland will be celebrated with great love, só as we celebrate it today. Näsaryk would already be 9l today, and yet it seems as if he was the youngest of all of us. He was called "fathers" by us, but actually he should be "sons". The youngest and most worthy son of the people. He always looked into the future and always went forward. So he became our liberator. He was always a man of the future and has remained ew to this day. Deshäib will not only celebrate his hundredth, but still his 5G0th day of birth. 29A1 Havlicèk died, just when Masaryk came to Prague. It is as if the Czech people should not be a single day without great leaders.Havlicèk also remained alive to us beyond the grave, and we have maintained his loyalty and this in a form that only the Czechs can make way for it. Thus Masaryk will continue to live in us as the great liberator, but also as a tolerater. We call another nice episode, when Masaryk had come out of the captivity of Kem and through Brixen durhr during World War II, he said quite quietly: Sehlafe, Havlièék, How deep a meaning lies in these words. And today everything is new again. At the Hradshin the swastika flag blows today, but it is not all days evening. Our motto remains "We do not surrender." There is nothing lost until we lose faith and hope. We are fighting for the new Europe today and thus also for a new Czechoslovakia. At the Hradshin there was always a light which was carried away from the Katafalk at that time, so that it would never be extinguished and always burn for the Czechs, but how should the stupid Germans understand that, they removed this lie without emotion. But they did not completely extinguish this light, it still burns in the hearts of the Czech people. His people will never lose faith.
