By letter of 3.2.1944 - G.Z.463l/44 - V/1 - the Ministry of Education asked the Ministry for approval to grant to the Reinhard Heydrich Foundation in Prague the support of l,5 Nio K from the resources of the P r ot e k o r a t s h a u s h h a l t s to carry out construction and repair work. In accordance with the basic agreement between the Minister of State and the Minister for Finance of the Federal Republic of Germany on the contribution of the M at r i kular be t ra gs , measures and institutions of the Reich are to be financed from the R e c h s - h a u s h a 1 t ( reference to the House Decree of 30.10.1943 -VIIb-3120 - 2 ) . The Reinhard Heydrich Foundation is an imperial affair. I therefore pointed out at a meeting with department III - schooling - on 16.12.1943 that the further claim of protectorate budget resources for the purposes of the Reinhard Heydrich Foundation in the V i d e r s p r u c h to the above-mentioned agreement was to be made and that the future funding of the Foundation must therefore be brought to an early settlement. It is now up to us to decide whether, despite the basic agreement with the Minister of Finance, the Reinhard Heydrich Foundation should continue to be financed mainly by the Protectorate. It may be doubtful - apart from the R e c h t s l age - whether the maintenance of a foundation linked to Reinhard Heydrich's name from the Protectorate's fund p o l i t i s c h and p s y c h o l o g i s C h is desirable.
