Nied er shrift 2/+11 _-___---...-- about the discussion held on Friday, February 6, 19942 between W-Obersturmbannführer H e i B and Gauverwaltungsdirektor Dr. O b e r d o r f e r about the demarcation of publishing work between Prague and Reichenberg. Dr. Oberdorffer reported at the beginning that he was with Dr. G i e s , following on from earlier discussions, about the planning of the publishing house which began after the reorganization of the cultural work in the Sudeten- gau. The meaning of this work, which was initiated on behalf of the Gauleiter H e n l e i n, is to put the hitherto split publishing system in order according to the order of the culture sector in the Gau. Since the Nazi Gauverlag in Reichenberg did not show any interest in the further expansion of its activities, Dr. Öberdörffer, acting on behalf of the Gaulier, had endeavoured to continue and concentrate the work carried out so far by the publishers S t i e p e l , K r a u s and U l l m a n. These efforts have been completed in the establishment of a limited partnership ("Ackermann-Verlag") in which the above-mentioned publishers are involved and to which subsidies are to be paid by the Gaues. Furthermore, the publishing house Stiepel will independently continue its children's book publishing house and the publishing company Kraus the school books publishing house. The basis of the new publishing house will be the home and historical series introduced by the publishers, including the large edition of the Kraus publishing house. A new scientific edition will be planned. Mr Heiß then reported on the contracts awarded to the People and Reich Verlag in Prague by the Reichsführer-ij and the Group Leaders F r a n k and pointed out whether the objectives and areas of work similar in many respects - 2 - were similar in nature.
