The OKW report today reports figures illustrating the catastrophe that hit the bandits. Over 10,000 prisoners have already been made, 100 guns, a whole tank train, ammunition in large quantities, a full park of trucks are captured. The report of a German war reporter describes the fights and the conditions that preceded them. Despite the harsh conditions in the mountains and rough terrain and the unforms of the weather, which in the last few days put the greatest demands on every single soldier, was on 26 June. The first liberation troops arrived in Neusohl on October 27 at 6.15 a.m., and the first of them were sent to the city of Neus Kohl, where they had been forced to leave for the first time. The moral collapse of the Czech-Bolshevist gang had taken place already days before. Leaving their leadership in the lurch, the robbing and plowing Bolsheviks had offered a deserted image of decomposition. The city of Neusohl still shows in many places shocking signs of clearing out by the pulling gangs. Underneath, the cleaning of the Slovak space is still in progress. In complete disintegration and wild flight, the remnants of the individual groups of nations struggled, in front of the German troops, which were inexorably persecuted, to wrestle the impervious valleys and forest areas of the lower Tatras, or to outcry the valley of the Waag valley, and to reach the borders of the General Government and the Protectorate. They leave behind all the heavy weapons and all the war material. Hardly to be overlooked is the loot of infantry weapons and ammunition, of food camps and rolling iron railway material, of which the locomotives fell partly still under steam into the hands of the German troops. A gloomy, shocking chapter of Slovak history has been concluded. October 28th, as it should bring it, has not come. For this, the freedom and independence of the Slovak people has once again been restored and secured. The planned day of chaos and disaster has become a day of renewed order.
