BERLIN-CHARLOTTENBURG 2, Uhlandstr. 184 Telex: 91 05 20 Newspaper cut-out office Völkischer Beobachter Zeitung: Norddeutsche Ausgabe Berlin Place of publication: - 2. 11..1944 Date: Moravec to the Czech people 1620 Prague, 1 November. The Czech Minister for People's Enlightenment, Moravec, gave a radio address to the Czech people, in which he emphasized that in Bohemia and Moravia calm reigns, that all forces are working and that it has succeeded in gaining the trust of the empire. The vast majority of the Czech people had realized that the only way to save the small peoples was to win the empire. In the sixth year of the war, in Bohemia and Moravia, which are today one of the quietest areas of Europe, no one needed to suffer hardship and hunger. In the first few days, the Bolshevik riots in Slovakia had shown that London's emigrant clique had no idea of the true attitude of both the Czech and Slovak peoples. The Ministér called on the Czech people to help the people through the trust and discipline of the government. n2
