The prerequisites for the award of the Honorary Doctrine are according to the guidelines issued by the Reich Ministry of Education : a) outstanding own scientific achievements. The award is not justified by medium-sized contributions to science or by outstanding public status for the common good or other support provided by civil servants and employees of the NSDAP and its divisions. Other prerequisites are : b) Aryan descent c) German ethnicity d) National Socialist attitude. The proposal to the Minister for Science, Education and People's Education is made by the university. The decision on the award is taken by the dean of the faculty - in this case, dean Becking - after consulting the faculty committee.The decision requires the rector's approval.The rector must report to the Minister of Education of the Reich.The procedure may only be carried out as soon as the Minister for Education has informed him that he does not intend to exercise his right of objection.
