On the one hand, however, the work of teachers at the district authority of Königgrätt for war-related tasks during the days just before Christmas and between the holidays was marked by the lack of interest of teachers and a stay away from work, the singer choir of teachers - about 60 men - characterized itself by an inversely equally active activity during the holidays in the organization of concerts, which in their presentation, propaganda and political tendency can be described as a kind of demonstration. Among other things, the same choir gave concerts during the Christmas holidays in Neuchâtel, Chlumetz (Bez. Neu-Bijshow) and Neu-Bijov themselves. Of the 17 Czech plays performed at the concert in Chlumetsz, the song "Fatherland Mountains" was taken up enthusiastically by the numerous audiences from the city and the country and had to be repeated several times. In the local press articles drew attention to this event and e.g. the event of the singers in Chlumetz was called "cultural holiday of the whole Chlumetzer Kreis". i.V. gez.
