Secret State Police Prague, 1 July 1942. State Police Headquarters Prague. Subject: Captain to the Sea H a b e d a n k. .) Note : On 29 June a meeting took place in my office on the question of the further detention of the 5 Piston Danêk directors. In addition to representatives of the defence unit, the arms inspection, the Ministry of Economics, the German defence officers of the Kolben-Danêk and the industrial representative Captain H a b e d a n k were present. As before, Kapi- tän H a b e d a n k intervened as the only one for the detainees and declared that they were completely indispensable for the performance of the work's armaments tasks. On my question, from where he had this knowledge, he explained that this had been reported to him. On my further question, from which side this had been reported to him, he explained, from the Czech directorate. The German defense officers and the Stapo could prove to him that all arrests are not indispensable and that for them there is full replacement in the work itself. It turned out that Captain H a b e d a n k himself had not obtained information from the German defence officers about this question. To be absolutely sure, the Czech chief director D o s t a l, who is responsible for the Wehrmacht deliveries at the factory, was questioned. He explained that he was of course able to replace the arrested with other persons immediately and that he had already done so. 2.) i-Group leader K.H. Fr a n k as ordered by the request for information. h N.hraus 5.d.d St.S0E-50.142
