From the OKW, the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorgung received the order to fulfill the wishes of the relatives regarding the laying down of wreaths and the procurement of photographs to and from the resting places of their fallen. He has either set up his own representatives in the services occupied by our troops or has carried out his assignments in close cooperation with the services of the Party, the Wehrmacht and the civilian administrations in place.
