The head of division IV (Rulturpolitik) Prague, 8 December 1943. W/m h i3q-505143q Rr. Secret Reicojache 3 copies, 7 sheets. l. copy. Minlcaraat E: 10. DEC.1943 I./Note. Mrs. Frick, in her introduction, explained that, in agreement with the Reichsprotektor, it was important to discuss with me some questions quite openly in order to eliminate any misunderstandings that might arise. She has the impression that I represent the view that Mrs Frick has a special ambition to represent and wants to carry out permanently representative events out of personal vanity, in which she occasionally also interferes in my cultural field. She wants to clarify to me that this assumption is wrong. As far as they represent it, she does it as a comrade of her husband, who as well-known as Reichsprotector has only representative tasks. I would have heard perhaps once that Dr. Frick did not want to take over the position of Reichsprotektor in itself and finally only at the special request of the Führer was ready to do so. The representation, which was officially conditioned by the opinion of the Reichsprotektor, should not be blamed for it, especially since it tried to keep this representation within reasonable limits. In particular, it had the habit of representing it from Berlin, not through eating, but through cultural events. She now asks me to say my opinion on this question quite openly and with all due respect. She hates nothing more than misunderstandings and ambiguities about the opposing views. . 7i - 2 - St.M.N9-39 a/43
