Finally I have allowed myself to point out that many things in Bohemia and Moravia are to be regarded as political impondera- bilies, which are perhaps in other parts of the empire without special meaning. It is therefore all the more important that Mrs Frick's judgement should be sought in all the relevant matters before any action taken by her; as an example - personally, I am not interested in anything, but particularly instructive - I mentioned the process on the occasion of the recent visit to the cathedral's coronation miniatures. In this case, Prof. Svoboda obviously did not advise the Reichsprotektor well, so that it was then possible for the Reich Protector to refer to the representatives of the President of the Republic and the Minister of State (Chief of Cabinets v.Popelka and Chief Government Councillor Zankl) who were themselves involved in the inspection, with the words whether the gentlemen wanted to participate in the visit. In the case of the children of the Reichsprotektor and others who were not eligible for such a visit, which was undoubtedly strongly noted by the chancellery of the President of the Republic, this had always been a kind of sacral act of state. Prau Frick explained that she knew nothing about all this; it was intended to be a normal visit to the cathedral, which was then suddenly linked to the visit of the coronation chapels. The children, moreover, had behaved very worthyly in their opinion. I have explained that I know nothing about this in detail, that in the present case it is only the basic political example.
