STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 2185, sig. 109-9/9 (damaged)
English Translation
23 - 8 - total war, since these intervene deeply in the lives of each individual. It could be observed that the Czech industrialist, who was strongly impressed by the concentration in industry carried out in the previous year, regards the announced set-aside measures in trade and crafts as a logical development and clearly recognizes their need, with particular emphasis on the purely factual aspects of the matter being taken into account in the speech. The statement made in connection with the treatment of these questions, that all these measures for the total war have absolutely nothing to do with Germani- tion efforts and meet both German and Czechs in the same way, found strongest attention and was generally accepted with approval and German relief, as well as the refutation of the rumors of allegedly intended relocations and evacuations. Although in some cases suspicions of distrust could be heard, it is clear that this part of the speech was generally of the greatest interest and brought about a great deal of reassurance by the arguments being made, especially since the conclusion of important business in the meantime is seen as a confirmation of the just implementation in the national context.
