- 11 - 43 Now we have the Protectorate, under the strong and powerful protection of the largest and strongest people of Europe, and have been given an all-sided opportunity to rebuild our local life from the ground up. However, instead of hard-working construction work, our people still turn to whisper propaganda, defaitism and negation. Some still stand aside, not all of them still devote themselves to the construction work. Yes, those who seek to serve the people best from all their strength and their best knowledge and conscience, are maliciously, or out of ignorance of the situation, stamped as national traitors variously suspect and heaped with anonymous threatening letters. We must detach ourselves from the former liberalist world view and be convinced that not everyone can do what they like, even if it is to the detriment of their fellow citizens. It is further necessary that a belief in a new, better future of the Czech people be established on its home plaice. Only a malicious whispering propaganda does not want to allow the Czech people to live and work in peace and trust, and spreads false rumors as if, after the end of the war, a deportation, for example, to Russia, Poland, Madagascar or similar, would threaten the Czech People. God punishes these people, who fear the soul of the Czech people, which is so hard-tested enough! The mere reason tells us that all this can only be nonsense: the Czech farmer also enjoys the same reputation among the Germans as with us; the Czech worker is just as respected by the Germans because of his high intelligence as here and therefore used to work together; the czech craftsman and tradesman enjoys with the Germans of the same
