121 121 Prague, 15 January 1940. 1940 16. Mr. v.Burgsdorff. I have the following message: "In the night of 25 December the Czech worker Leopold Janda was abused by three Czech policemen during a conversation and then arrested for resistance and sent to Kuttenberg. Janda is busy in the Reich and in his letters he has always expressed great praise for the conduct in the Empire. The mistreatment by the police is said to have taken place because Janda greeted with "Heil Hitler". The Oberlandrat in Deutsch-Brod called for the immediate release of the Janda." I ask the local Oberland Council to report on the facts and on the situation which it had initiated and to submit the report to me immediately after its receipt. m3. H }$
