English Translation
26 St.S.V Q 36 Prague, 19 December 1940. l. v e r m e rk. The Wehrmacht still proves its honour at the burial place of the unknown soldier at the Old Town Square. The party and its divisions - among them the weapons-j - do not show honor. Apart from the fact that, unfortunately, members of the Wehrmcht have repeatedly been placed by members of this party and their associations for showing honors, I still consider them to be absurd, because the establishment of the burial site of the unkannten s.Zt. has been nothing but a confession to legionary ideology. I urge therefore to approach the Wehrmacht now more from official channels, in order to cause it to lift the relevant order, which prescribes the showing of honour. If this step, which should be taken with the Wehrenmacht authorised officer, should not lead to success, then the intervention with the High Command of the Wehnmacht should be repeated. 2. K.H. with this note Herr v. I would be grateful if a letter would be prepared and submitted to me for signature. 3. Wv.am 16.1.1941 to me.
