One of the first measures of Czechization was the establishment of this Czech minority school in 19l9. At that time, the teaching took place at first in the German elementary school. In Jal:- re l924, the construction of a separate Czech minority school building, to which the Genieinde had to provide the ground, was carried out. At the establishment, about 1 4 children were enrolled in the school, mostly from mixed marriages, i.e. also from purely German marriages which had been put under political pressure. Then, in a particular district, a larger number of Czech people were settled in order to gain a numerically overweight in Nedweis more quickly. This also increased the number of pupils in the minority school. In spite of all these measures, however, it has never happened that a large number of pupils had really attended the school. Rather, the Nedweis community has maintained its German character until the year l939. Since 16.3.l93, the number of students in the minority folk school has declined markedly, so that in the end there were only 1 9 pupils. As a result of this situation and in view of the fact that the teacher of this school had been arrested, there was a politically favourable view of disintegration.
