69-8 15 - Exposition 6 to 1/40. The Reichswirtschaftsminister Berlin W 8, 29 February 1940 S 18431/40 Behrenstr. 43. To the Lords Chief Presidents, Government Presidents and corresponding authorities — District Management Offices — Circular No. 74/40 BWA. Betr.: Transportgemeinschaft für Altmaterialtransporte. The agreement between the Neichskommissar für Altmaterial verwertung and the business group brewery and malting plant (see note 4 to 1/40) I send to your attention. I note the following: The district authorities appointed by the head of the economic group are instructed to sit down with you. I have for the time been dissociating myself from the integration of these agents into the district administration offices, because I believe that close cooperation with you is sufficient. If, over time, there is a need for integration, I ask you to report accordingly. I ask to build the transport community according to the experiences made in your district, taking into account the special needs of the recycling of waste materials. Unruly companies of the business group brewery and malting are, if necessary, by limiting the fuel allocation or withdrawal of the car — for example according to §§ 15/16 RLG. — to comply with the agreement. However, I request that your consent be given only in particularly urgent exceptional cases because of the urgency of the collection of waste materials and = transports for the use by places of demand according to §§ 15/16 NLG. The local representatives of the economic group are at the same time instructed to take up and maintain the closest contact with their respective country=(provincial)nutrition office. I ask you, too, to resolve the common questions in agreement with the regional (province) nutrition office. Ge= if necessary, the questions of doubt must be discussed in regular repetitive terms.
